    What Payments do you Accept? top

    We accept all payments through PayPal.  Through PayPal, you can pay via major Credit Cards or your Bank account with an eCheck.  Why PayPal only?  It is much safer than entering Credit Cards over the web and as an Online Store Owner, I do not want to see anyone's Credit Card personal information. PayPal is secure and once you enter your information to PayPal, it is not accessible to anyone else.

    I will also accept a personal check however please know that your order will not be shipped until Beach View Attic receives your check in the mail and after it has cleared your Bank.  Contact BVA if you should choose this method PRIOR to ordering.

    What are your shipping charges? top

    We ship all orders for a flat fee of $3.95 USPS First Class regardless of the number of items. We do also offer Add-On Upgrades if you wish at Check-Out.

    Do you offer Shipping Insurance? top

    Yes.  Orders are shipped via USPS and you may add-on Shipping Insurance to your Cart at the time of Check-out.

    How long until I get my Order? top

    Orders are processed and shipped same day, if possible.  Beach View Attic is located in California and all orders are sent using USPS First Class so it depends on where you are located in the U.S. and, how fast the Mail Service is... which unfortunately is out of our control. 

    Tracking information will be sent to you when your order is shipped so you can follow your Order en route.

    Do you offer Priority Shipping? top

    We do.  All our Orders are shipped through USPS First Class mail.  We do offer an Add-On Upgrade to 'Priority Shipping' at Checkout.

    Do you offer Gift Wrapping? top

    Yes!  Gift Wrapping is offered for all items unless stated in the listing description.  A To/From Tag will also be included... all for $1.10 which can be selected at Check Out.

    If you order multiple items but only wish Gift Wrapping on selected item(s), contact us to let us know immediately after ordering.

    The To/From Tag will be left blank unless you specify what you would like.

    Can you alert me when you get new items? top

    Actually, we used to send out New Arrival emails, however given the fact that jewelry pieces are added almost daily, it makes it now unfeasible.  There may be occasions when you may be alerted of specific new items, however please do note there is now an 'Arrivals' Category in the menu that will show you all the recently added jewelry.  So please check the 'Arrivals' category first when you visit the site!

    What is your Return Policy? top

    If you should need to return an item, just follow the Return instructions that are included on your Order Invoice.

    I have a Discount Coupon - how do I use it? top

    Discount and Promotion Coupon codes can be applied during Check-out towards the bottom of your Cart.  Simply enter the Coupon Code and click 'Apply'.  (More than one code/coupon is allowed on the same order, unless otherwise specified. Please check the specific Offer for redemption details.)

    Do you offer Gift Certificates? top

    We do!  Gift Certificates are available for $25.00 and up, for any item on our website.  Certificates can be sent to you or directly to your recipient via USPS or email.

    Where is the Vintage Jewelry from? top

    I love to hunt for vintage pieces at estate sales, vintage stores, yard sales or flea markets. I also work with clients to sort, recycle and research and appraise their possessions, helping them decide what to keep and what to sell.  I love my 'work' and I am always looking for that next great piece.

    Please know that vintage items are considered to be technically at least 20 years old.  With the exception of some estate sales that may offer history, it is difficult to vouch for the brand or age unless it comes with original paperwork, packaging or is hallmarked on the piece itself.  Years ago, designers did not sign or hallmark their jewelry so many fashion, vintage and costume items go without recognition unfortunately. Additionally, true vintage jewelry was not entirely mass-produced, which is primarily the reason some jewelry pieces may be one-of-a-kind or rare.

    I have listed items to the best of my ability with the knowledge given to me by the item's marking and/or by estate owners, sellers.

    Do you clean the Vintage jewelry? top

    Yes.  All our vintage jewelry (and any pre-owned fashion jewelry) are appropriately inspected and safely cleaned prior to listing.  We thoroughly sanitize each and every piece to get rid of the 'old' as much as possible without disturbing the original and/or vintage uniqueness of an item. However, some items we prefer to leave restoration or corrective cleaning up to the new owner, which will be mentioned in the description.  Any questions with a particular item, please just contact us. 

    How often do you add new items? top

    Items are added all the time, sometimes if not daily.  We suggest that you check the 'Arrivals' category often for the latest new additions so you don't miss out.

    Will you ship an order as a Gift to another address? top

    Of course!  And if you would like it Gift Wrapped, select the box during Check Out and give clear instructions (for the To/From message that you would like on the Tag)  in the 'Notes to BVA' area at Check-out - or - send a separate message via email or in the 'Contact Us' section.

    All Orders specified as a 'Gift' will be shipped without prices on the Invoice.

    What if I need to cancel or change my order? top

    We begin processing your order same-day (and aim to ship same-day too!), so if you have any changes to your order or need to cancel, it should be done immediately after placing your order.  Once your order is 'In Process' or has been shipped, it is too late unfortunately.

    Do you have a Store-front store? top

    No.... but thanks for asking!  All our vintage jewelry, current fashion and hand-made designs are on this site.  We do however have a 'BeachViewAttic'  Etsy Shop that carries a variety of Jewelry making supplies (naturally!) and other fun items.

    Feel free to visit:  Go to the Etsy site and type  BEACHVIEWATTIC  (just as shown, no spaces)  in the Search.

    Is your Beach View Attic smoke-free/pet-free? top

    Yes!  Beach View Attic's office is a smoke-free environment as well as pet-free.  (There are pets but not allowed in the office).  I cannot of course vouch for the vintage pieces in their lifetime.

    Wait... you will put an item on Hold for a customer? top

    Yes.  An item may be placed on 'Hold' or 'Lay-Away' for up to 10 days... in which that item will not be sold to anyone else during that time.  After 10 days, that item will need to be either purchased or it will automatically be taken 'off-Hold' and available again on the site.  Simply send us a message and your wish will be granted. You may hold up to 3 items.

    How is the Jewelry shipped? top

    All jewelry is placed in a size appropriate folding pillow-box for protection in mailing and storage.  It is then placed in a bubble-wrap envelope for safe shipping.

    Do you ever offer Sales? top

    We do and it will be announced.  It will be marked in our 'Events Calendar' so you can check there or, if you want to be the first 'in the loop', be sure to either email us (BeachViewAttic@cox.net)  or check the Box during Checkout to be added to our email notifications.

    As always, you are welcome to discontinue the email notifications as any time... and it will never be more than once per week.

    Help! Dimensions are listed but how do I know bangle bracelet sizing? How do I know if it will fit over my hand? top

    Great question. Bangle bracelets are a solid piece and do not have a clasp or opening, so they must be able to slip-on and off over your hand.  As you mentioned, the inside dimension of our bangles are given in the listing descriptions... generally sizes are (standard) somewhere around 2 1/2" across. That means the 'inside' opening of the bangle literally measures 2 1/2" across.

    The best way to know if an item will fit over your hand is to measure an existing bangle that you may own: Lay the opening part of the bracelet on a measuring ruler.  Measure ONLY the INSIDE open portion. The measurements given in the listings are as accurate as possible and can be compared to a bangle that you have measured. If you do not own a bangle, you might make a fake bracelet out of a thick strip of paper, tape securely and then measure that piece as mentioned above.
